Colmcille - Boy of Gartan
Colmcille - Boy of Gartan is an experimental short film made possible thanks to the Colmcille 1500 Grant Scheme.
This project is a refreshing and contemplative interpretation of the story of Saint Colmcille the monk and powerful spiritual leader. It is told by his mother Ethna, remembering her child at play. Showcasing historical sites at Gartan, the piece shows that though modern life goes on, Gartan retains its sense of quiet spirituality.
This Project has been supported through the Colmcille 1500 Grant Scheme which is funded by the North West Development Fund and Creative Ireland, in conjunction with and supported by The Executive Office and The Irish Government.
